The Personal Path That Sparked It All
At the heart of The Soulful Experiences is its founder, Paty Quesada — a woman whose life has woven together academy, entrepreneurship, diplomacy, motherhood, and soul.
For many years, Paty lived what appeared to be a successful life: economist, diplomat, and global traveler. Yet beneath the surface, she carried disconnection and a longing for something deeper.
Life kept calling her back — to her body, to her spirit, to her roots.
That call led her into ancestral healing, alchemy, functional nutrition, biomagnetism, and spiritual practices across the world. Along the way, she discovered a truth that would shape everything:
We are never broken. We are remembering. The power has been with us all along.
The Soulful Experiences was born out of that devotion — blending Paty’s personal evolution with over 30 years of global experience and the rich healing traditions of Mexico’s Pre-Hispanic and Pre-Columbian wisdom.
My Full Story
I was born in Mexico City, in a very small, crowded home with 12 people, filled with both struggle and love. My earliest years were spent sharing a room with my aunt and uncle, while my parents worked tirelessly to build something out of nothing. My aunt and uncle, together with my parents have been my first masters of love. My mother, the daughter of a woman from a magical town who sold candy to survive, became one of the first women in her family to study and work as a professional. My father, a brilliant but complicated man, built a furniture business with his own hands and later a successful manufacturing company, only to lose it all in the economic upheavals that shook Mexico.
From them, I inherited no money, but both strength and fragility; my mother’s discipline, my father’s creativity, and the awareness that life can rise and collapse like waves on the ocean. My 3 sisters have been a blessing and yes on occasions, sometimes short, sometimes long ones, a blessing and a curse. But they too are my teachers, and I honor them and their wisdom.
From them, I inherited no money, but both strength and fragility; my mother’s discipline, my father’s creativity, and the awareness that life can rise and collapse like waves on the ocean.
I studied Economics at ITAM, graduated with honors, and was blessed with opportunities that took me far beyond my beginnings. I became a Spokesperson for Mexico’s Ministry of Finance, served as Minister before the OECD in Paris, and directed a successful regional presidential campaign and the Economic Planning Chapter for the transitional governments of two former presidents. I managed international negotiations, presidential agendas, and teams of hundreds. I studied a Master’s degree at the University of Chicago to round out my education and to be able to become a resident and later citizen in the USA (my third home after Mexico and France). Later, I built businesses in natural foods, teaching myself the art of creating healthy candies, and pioneered sugar-free confections long before they became fashionable, which in my heart always honored my grandmother and ancestors.
I was married 28 years, some great, some difficult to very difficult. From that life I learned so much that I can proudly consider my ex-husband one of my teachers, as most people who have walked in life by my side. From that relationship I bore the two most incredible children, who have been the source of the best stories and joy in my life.
My life has been a journey and a story with many characters, I have met the most humble, loving people to ministers and presidents. I started in a small modest house, and lived in France, the USA and Mexico. I traveled around the world and learned languages.
On paper, I have been a success. Inside, I carried unhealed wounds. I supported many people before and during the pandemic at my own welfare and expense. I endured, as my sisters did, years of family love and dysfunction, a strict religious upbringing where intimacy felt like sin, and the commitment to be married and a college graduate led me to a later relationship, also with good, great and bad times, I ended up marked by betrayal that left me with invisible scars and to start all over again. He also became a teacher to me, and I have learned to be grateful even for pain, for what we learn from it.
With time, my body broke down, my digestive system collapsing under stress, my immune system failing me, depression seeping in. There have been times I have had to sell the clothes in my closet just to put food on the table, times when I faced Christmas with only $34 in my bank account, times when I was abandoned, used and abused. But even in the most difficult times, the universe blessed me, that Christmas I won a turkey on a raffle and we enjoyed it on the family table!
And yet, I always knew something greater was calling me.
I found refuge in meditation and sacred practices from India with my best friend and first master. I traveled to the almond fields of Argentina and the mountains of Korea, where I completed a twelve-year meditation program. I also have learned and practiced with American mindfulness teachers and scientists. Overall, with Masters who taught me stillness, discipline, and the art of inner transformation. I was initiated as a Moon Dancer and Fire Bearer in the Mexica tradition, learning to carry the ancient songs and ceremonies of my ancestors. Along the way, I trained and certified in many healing arts:
- Functional Nutrition (Functional Nutrition Alliance, USA — in progress)
- Medical Biomagnetism & Bioenergetics (Dr. Isaac Goiz Durán School, Mexico)
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (Aryashanga I-Ching, in progress)
- Access Bars Practitioner (Access Consciousness)
- Ayurvedic Panchakarma Therapy (Maharani, Wisconsin)
- Brain Architecture Certification (Amen University, in progress)
- Pythagorean Philosophy & Numerology (Academy of Pythagorean Philosophy)
- Grigory Grabovoi Healing Numbers (Numerana)
- Creative Writing & Scriptwriting (Escuela de Escritores SOGEM, UCLA)
Each discipline became a thread — weaving a new fabric that unites ancient wisdom with modern science, spirit with body, poetry with purpose.
I founded The Soulful Experiences as a home for all I have gathered.
Here, I guide people through The Soulful Art of Release and The Soulful Art of Manifestation — blending ceremony, meditation, functional health, and ancestral healing.
The eldest ancestors I knew in life were a girl selling candy on a corner of a very poor town in Mexico, a soldier at the Mexican Revolution, a bohemian musician whose music was bought for almost nothing, and used as their own, by Musicians who made it to fame and wealth with my grand father’s work, and a strong woman who divorced when it was unthinkable for a woman to take that step, and who equally helped prisoners and lepers during her 104 years of life.
So my story is the story from a girl selling candy on a corner of a poor town to a boy who became an incredible Musician from Cornell university and a girl with a Post-doctorate in one of the most prestigious universities in America. What a ride!
From my legacy, I am especially proud to be the mother of María, a brilliant epidemiologist with a PhD -working on her post-doc-, from Tulane, Johns Hopkings and Emory Universities, who works globally to save lives, and Pablo, a Cornell-trained engineer and gifted musician whose soul carries the legacy of his grandfather’s music, and who I am certain has touched more souls than I can count.
I am proud of many things: My work, my studies, my resilience, the way I relate today to people and of my loving partner Joe, my new greatest master in life, with whom I have built a soulful partnership.
My life has been one of contrasts: from abundance to scarcity, from public recognition to private collapse, from heartbreak to healing. But every loss became an initiation, every wound became a doorway, and every silence became a prayer.
Today, I stand here to say: healing is possible. Transformation is possible. Love is possible. And I walk beside you, so your path may be shorter, lighter, and filled with more joy than mine once was.
